Fund Raising Events
ECETA organizes fundraising events, primarily the Kinder Olympic and Children's Day, to sustain and expand its early childhood education programs. The funds generated from these events are reinvested into other educational programs and directly donated to support children in need across different communities. Consistent community support and dynamic fundraising are essential lifelines for non-profits dedicated to driving lasting social change. Despite financial and geographical challenges, ECETA continues to expand access to child-friendly learning environments across Nepal.
The 12th Kinder Olympic was held in three phases on 7th December 2024, 25th December 2024, and 9th February 2025 at the Army Physical Fitness and Training Center. Around 42 schools participated. The event promoted physical development, exposed children to peers, and advocated the philosophy that participation is more important than winning while encouraging sportsmanship from early years. Physical education in the early years is a critical catalyst for cognitive development, helping children build coordination, resilience, and a lifelong appreciation for health and teamwork.
The 10th Children's Cultural Day took place on 19th September 2025 in the auditorium of DAV School in two shifts. Approximately 450 children from 23 schools participated. Children showcased diverse cultures through songs, dances, and drama, which provided a platform to foster a sense of unity, collaboration, and cultural awareness among the schools. By celebrating this rich diversity, we help young learners build empathy, mutual respect, and a deeper understanding of the vibrant society they belong to.
Funds raised enable critical community support, such as the joint initiative with Broadlink that provided a Rs. 2,00,000 water filter and warm clothes to Mahabharat School in Letang Municipality, Eastern Nepal. Access to basic necessities, such as clean drinking water and proper clothing, is a fundamental prerequisite for effective learning and healthy child development. While ECETA consistently organizes these programs, challenges remain; in 2025, funds frozen in the National School Sports Federation restricted some donation programs compared to previous years.
